Phuket, a rain forested, mountainous island within the bay, has a number of Thailand’s preferred beaches, principally settled on the clear waters of the western shore. The island is home to several high-end seaboard resorts, spas and restaurants. Patong, the most city, contains an additional casual ambiance and is crammed with wild nightclubs, bars and discos.
